PEACE OFFICERS

CHAPLAIN ASSOCIATION

 SERVING THOSE WHO

SERVE OUR COMMUNITY

"PROTECTING THOSE WHO SERVE"

MISSION

NIPOCA Chaplains are looking to create a legacy in helping our Law Enforcement Family change from the “function of surviving the trauma of a life of service” to truly “thriving” as officers, husbands and fathers and wives and mothers to their children, and to see this reflect onto and in the service to all of the victims of crime or tragedy in our community.

We exist first and foremost to love and care for sworn Law Enforcement Officers, Emergency Communication Officers and their families. Just as importantly we are here to care for members of our community who are victims of crime or tragedy at the most critical time, when it happens.

METHOD

Chaplains are available to all of the Officers and their families to unload thoughts, feelings, aggravations, grief etc., through conversation in a safe environment. Chaplains are able to give each person the assurance of confidentiality and genuine care from all our team, as we have chosen this specific ministry for this purpose and the law supports this function.

Chaplains are a resource for Deputies, Officers, Troopers, Detectives, Communications Officers, Staff, etc. to use, as needed, when needed and in the role they need, to help serve the victims, their families and members of the community affected by crime, tragedy or disaster.

Performing the functions that allow deputies to do their jobs and relieve them of tasks that are unpleasant, distracting and counter-productive to their primary role as law enforcement. This includes Death Notifications, Family Grief Support, Spiritual Support, Traffic Duties, Counseling etc., as called upon. (Whatever we can do to keep help facilitate them and allow them to do their job in the most complete and professional manner, while supporting and honestly showing how much their specific agency truly cares about our citizens).
